Terrific show and Gold Record in Hamburg

The Baseballs reveiving a Gold Record

Baseballs-mania in Hamburg: On the 04th of May, The Baseballs stopped by in Northern Germany to play an exklusive concert for the winners of their Video Swing Contest. For that, fans had performed and recorded themselves swinging their hips to the sound of The Baseballs. The most convincing submissions were rewarded with a ticket for said gig in Hamburg. The show went down in the legendary Cafe Keese, where host Armitage Shanks, a singer, entertainer und circus director from the US dressed in original 20ies and und 30ies outfits, got the crowd pumping long before the Baseballs even took the stage. What came after, was well worth the trip to Hamburg – even for those fans who had travelled half the continent to attend the show (such as a group of winners from Finland, where the Baseballs have been greatly succesful in recent months).

After what can only be called a terrific show, the band received a special „cherry on the cake“: Sam, Digger and Basti were given a Gold Record for the outstanding sales figures of their debut album „Strike!“ on the German market. The band was nicely framed by a couple of attracitve burlesque dames whilst receiving the honour, as one can see on the photos below. The girls were part of the show and only one among many reasons that made the night at Café Keese well worth the while.
